Meet
Rory
Shadow Assistant Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Shadow Assistant Minister for Housing, Shadow Assistant Minister for Youth, Member for Pittwater
Our community has been well served by Rob Stokes, and now Rory is standing to continue Rob’s work as Pittwater’s voice in NSW Parliament.
A community advocate, volunteer firefighter and family lawyer for a decade, Rory is a lifelong Northern Beaches local who proudly calls Narrabeen home. Rory is passionate about serving the community. Growing up, Rory could see he was very lucky, and always felt a responsibility to give back to improve the lives of others.
Rory has been an active volunteer firefighter for a decade, and was awarded the NSW Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation and the Governor General’s National Emergency Medal for his services fighting the devastating 2019-20 NSW South Coast bushfires.
Rory has been a Northern Beaches Councillor since 2017, where his achievements include securing $2.5 million to fast-track the re-build of the Mona Vale Surf Club, and working with Councillor Alex McTaggart to secure $4.6 million to protect Newport Littoral Rainforest from development.
Rory will use his experience to advocate for our community, to reduce cost of living, preserve the natural beauty of Pittwater and improve our way of life.
