Ray Williams is your Liberal Member for Kellyville
After his re-election in March 2019 The Hon Ray Williams MP is now serving the state of NSW for a third term.
As the Minister for Multiculturalism, Ray connected with the multicultural communities through 235 individual cultural festivals and implemented initiatives to support greater cohesion on behalf of our diverse communities.
As the Minister for Disability Services, Ray was responsible for finalising the full transition of the $22 billion National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which is one of the greatest social reforms seen in a generation. Over 100,000 people with permanent disability in NSW now have an NDIS plan in place and are enjoying greater choices in terms of their supports and an improved quality of life.
Ray was first elected to the NSW Parliament in 2007, following a term as councillor on the Hills Shire Council.
Prior to his appointment as Minister for Multiculturalism and Minister for Disability Services, Ray was Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads and for Western Sydney.
Ray began his career in two metal trade apprenticeships before working in the transport industry for 22 years.
Between 1985 and 2005 Ray held a Racing NSW Thoroughbred Trainers License and successfully operated a small business in the industry.
Ray studied at Curtin University achieving a Graduate Certificate in Development Planning and a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
