Nominations for Liberal preselection in the federal seat of Eden-Monaro have opened today, with members of the community invited to step forward.
The NSW Liberal State Director, Chris Stone, invited Eden-Monaro residents who would like the opportunity to represent their local community in Parliament to put themselves forward.
“The Liberal Party is looking to select a candidate with experience and local knowledge, who can hit the ground running and get things done.
“The Morrison Government’s focus is very much on keeping Australians safe and rebuilding – rebuilding an economy devastated by coronavirus and rebuilding local communities devastated by the fires.
“We will listen, work hard and deliver for the people of Eden-Monaro at this very important time for our nation.
Those wishing to nominate should be Members of the Liberal Party or be prepared to join, and meet a number of other criteria that are outlined in the nomination form.
The Liberal candidate will be selected by a plebiscite of local Branch Members, conducted electronically, consistent with social distancing requirements.
