Sam Kayal
Liberal Candidate for Werriwa

An elected Dutton Coalition Government has committed to delivering upgrades to Ireland Park – home of the Liverpool Rangers Football Club.

Liberal candidate for Werriwa, Sam Kayal, has secured this $2.4 million commitment to ensure local athletes, families, and sporting groups each have the chance to access modern, multi-sport facilities, right here in Liverpool.

"I’ve listened to our community and local sporting groups, about the need for upgrading Ireland Park, to ensure it can be utilised year-round for both winter and summer sports,” Mr Kayal said.

“This vital upgrade to Ireland Park will provide high-quality, multi-sport synthetic surfaces and modern facilities, benefiting players of all ages,” said Liverpool Rangers Football Club President, Matt McMah.

“Sam has listened to our community and delivered this vital commitment to invest in the future of our Club,” said Mr McMah.

“I will always listen to our growing community and fight for their needs,” Mr Kayal added.

The Hon David Coleman MP, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, welcomed the commitment and thanked Sam Kayal for his unwavering advocacy for his community.

“This announcement demonstrates that not only does Sam listen to his community, but he is effective in delivering wins for his community – just as he has done with today’s commitment to upgrade Ireland Park,” Mr Coleman said.
