HR executive Amanda Ivaneza has been endorsed as the Liberal Candidate for Cunningham.

Proud local, Amanda grew up in the Illawarra and is raising her own family in the region. With more than 15 years of experience as a Work, Health and Safety and Human Resources leader, Amanda has built up the skills and experience needed to fight for and deliver the services and support that the local community deserves.

Amanda has been an active volunteer in her community, including serving as a member and President of the local school P&C, and as a passionate advocate for Illawarra’s natural environment.

Raising her 11-year-old daughter with husband Dorian, Amanda knows how tough local families have been doing it, with local charities experiencing a spike in calls for help from people struggling to afford basic school supplies, uniforms or digital devices as their kids go back to school.

“Years of Labor’s bad decisions and wrong priorities have left Illawarra households and businesses struggling to keep their head above water,” Mrs Ivaneza said. “From skyrocketing energy costs and insurance bills, to increasing mortgage rates and rents, our community has been suffering under the Albanese Labor.”

“Illawarra households cannot afford another three years of empty Labor promises - Prime Minister Albanese promised cheaper mortgages, but instead an interest bill for a typical mortgage has risen $50,000 since the election; and he promised that by 2025, household energy bills would be reduced by $275 – instead everyone is paying hundreds of dollars more.”

“For too many years Labor have failed to represent the needs of the people of Illawarra and had taken them for granted. Our community deserves better,” said Mrs Ivaneza.

“If elected, I will be a strong, local voice for our community, advocating for the services, infrastructure and local jobs that would have our community thriving for generations to come.”

“We need a Dutton Liberal Government to rein in Labor’s inflation and bring the Budget under control to take the pressure off household budgets and help local families struggling with the cost of living crisis.”

“Only the Liberals have the proven track record of delivering lower interest rates and lower taxes, and the only way to get Cunnigham back on track is by voting Liberal.”
