An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.5 million for facility upgrades at Queen Elizabeth Park in Concord.

Queen Elizabeth Park is one of the most utilised open spaces in the Canada Bay area, serving as a hub for local sporting clubs, families and community events.

The new facilities will include modern change rooms, a canteen, storerooms, elevated viewing areas, and accessible public toilets — supporting both grassroots sport and broader community use.

Grange Chung, Liberal candidate for Reid, said the project is about making sure the park meets the needs of a growing and active local community.

“This commitment will deliver much-needed facilities for players, spectators and the wider community.

“Queen Elizabeth Park is a treasured part of our community, but its facilities are outdated and don’t meet current standards,” Mr Chung said.

“This commitment will deliver a modern, inclusive and functional amenities block that supports local sports clubs, weekend matches, and everyday park users.

“I’m pleased to be backing a practical project that will make a real difference to local families, players and volunteers.

“This commitment is all about making Concord an even better place to live, play and connect,” Mr Chung added.

This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
